I put coconut oil in my hair before washing; it works great that way. If you use it as an afterwash conditioner, it is much too greasy for normal or oily hair. It's the same for using it on your face too.Hcrummernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1194514353614380668.post-81355302866624962462010-03-11T23:57:57.081-08:002010-03-11T23:57:57.081-08:00I use apricot oil because I have half a jar left f...I use apricot oil because I have half a jar left from an attempt at making my own moisturizer! I've never had a problem with it and it seems to last a really long time. My hair, formerly the texture of a brillo pad, is now soft and shiny. I've found that it works best if I work in a small amount while my hair is still a little bit damp. I've also cut way back on how often I wash... maybe every third or fourth day... and that has also helped. Love coconut oil! I have used oils in the past for eye make-up remover and then follow up with my facial cleanser (I use Kiss my Face). I got the oil from an indian grocery store (it comes in a blue bottle) and I am wondering whether it is a bit old cause it smells a bit stale. Anyway for all of those who use it for moisturizer and makeup remover...arent you bothered by the smell?
